Vision Statement

The Waxhaw Community Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad is comprised of families serving other families striving to provide emergency response, prevention, and training that exceeds the expectations of our community.

New Substation


The groundbreaking ceremony for Station 63 at 7013 Waxhaw Creek Road will be on Friday August 18, 2023 at 4:30 pm. The new station will allow us to better serve the southwestern part of our fire district and will lower homeowners’ insurance premiums. The public is welcome to attend.

Welcome to the Official website of the Waxhaw Volunteer Fire Department. We are a volunteer fire department supplemented by part-time paid staff located in Waxhaw, North Carolina, which is located approximately 20 miles south of Charlotte in Union County.
