We are a combination fire department adapting and growing as our community grows. We are not a department of the Town of Waxhaw and operate as an independent non-profit agency contracted for fire protection and all hazards response with surrounding municipalities and Union County.
We are located approximately 20 miles south of Charlotte, NC.
Our fire department was incorporated as a volunteer fire department in 1957. Today we employ full-time career staff, part-time staff, and welcome volunteers. Our membership is firmly committed to serving the needs of our community for fire, rescue and medical first responder needs as well as fire prevention and other public education requests.
