Welcome to the Official website of the Waxhaw Volunteer Fire Department. We are a volunteer fire department supplemented by part-time paid staff located in Waxhaw, North Carolina, which is located approximately 20 miles south of Charlotte in Union County. We respond from 2 Stations within our Fire District. Station 18 is our main station located in the heart of Waxhaw. All Station 18 apparatus (2-Engine Companies, 1-Tanker, 1-Rescue, 1-Brush Unit and 1-Utility Truck) are housed at this location and respond from this station. Station 27 is our sub-station located in the JAARS Community of Waxhaw. This Station serves the rural sections of our fire district with 1-Engine Company and 1-Tanker.
